Retirees,

There has been a change in the presenters scheduled to speak our General Membership Meeting this coming Monday, January 23rd. Representative Anna Hernandez Luna had an unexpected out-of-town business trip she had to attend and will be unable to be at our meeting. As some background, we actually had scheduled Representative Luna to speak at the meeting before we were made aware of the move to change our pensions. We subsequently contacted Max Patterson, who is acting as President of Texans for Secure Retirement Board of Directors, and asked if he would be available to speak at our meeting on this very important issue. We will now have more time for Mr. Patterson to speak and for a longer Q&A session to answer your questions about this issue, which is where I think most of our interest is at this point in time.
