Federal Early Retiree Funds   MIA - Not all the Federal Early Retiree Reinsuance Program funds were used to offset retiree insurance rates as they were supposed to.

  • HMEPS has made it possible for ARHME members to contribute to the financial support of ARHME through a 'Payroll Deduction Form'.

  • HMEPS will administer the process and forward the funds to ARHME.

  • Here are three documents - One contains the instructions for filling out the form, the form itself
    and the third is a form to stop your deduction.

  The Association of Retired Houston Municipal Employees (ARHME) is a voluntary non-profit organization benefiting retired municipal employees of the City of Houston. ARHME has three broad missions:

(1) To inform and educate retirees of the Houston Municipal Employees Pension System (HMEPS), active City employees, and elected and appointed officials on matters concerning municipal pensions and benefits,

(2) To take such action as necessary or appropriate to protect and preserve municipal retirement benefits,

(3) To provide a means for City municipal retirees to stay connected with one another.
